The Story

Everyone knows LA for its famous beaches and celebrities, but did you know it once hosted giant sloths the size of a Volkswagen Beetle? Or that woolly mammoths roamed the LA basin? There was even a North American camel at one point in time. This tour will give you a fresh perspective on LA as we explore its fascinating prehistoric past and cultural landmarks.

Start with a visit to the La Brea Tar Pits, stepping back 50,000 years in time while we explore the park. These tar pits have preserved countless Ice Age fossils, including those of saber-toothed cats, mammoths, and dire wolves.

Next, we'll view the outdoor exhibits at LACMA, the largest art museum in the western United States, including a photo op with “Urban Light,” a famous installation featuring 202 restored vintage street lamps.

Then, dive into the Petersen Automotive Museum, home to one of the world’s largest car collections, from vintage prototypes to Batmobiles—a car enthusiast’s dream!

Finally, we head inside the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures to delve into film history and take in stunning views of the LA cityscape from the observation deck, where you can snap an epic photo of the Hollywood Sign before we part ways.
